Seaside visit in Mid-October

After residing in the Sarasota, Fl. area for 25 years, we were impressed with the laidback atmosphere of Seaside and the beautiful beach. BUT, was very disappointed with the overall cleanliness and overall condition of “Mellow Yellow”. The living room furniture and kitchen bar stool covers were filthy and very worn. The shower door in the Master Bath was out of alignment and would not close. The bath floor grout was dirty with lots of mildew present. Basically, the entire property needed a general cleaning with paint touch up. I was not only surprised that Benchmark would allow this unit to be rented in this condition but was amazed that the owners of this home would allow their property to be rented in this very negative condition. Excellent home, great neighborhood , quiet , well kept pool. Enjoyed our stay. I would suggest a more user friendly TV programming tool be installed. We could not get CNN, Weather Channel, or MSNBC.

Great Spot for a Beach Getaway

This property is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The screened in porch was wonderful, no bugs in the evening! The backyard being fenced in was great since we had our dogs with us. It was a great place to relax and grill out as well. The house is on a quiet street which is nice. 5 minute walk to the beach crosswalk. Great place overall, would recommend!

Perfect Beach Rental

Mellow Yellow was the perfect vacation rental for our 2023 June Vacation! The property description, location, and layout were exactly as described. Getting a credit for rentals through Vacayzen was very nice as well, bikes are very much needed while vacationing in Seagrove. The house was very clean, especially compared to other rentals that I have been in. My family and pets enjoyed having a screened in porch where we could all hangout, this was one of our favorite things about the house! I would definitely recommend this property to family or friends and hope to be able to stay at Mellow Yellow in the future!

It was awesome! The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. There were a couple of VERY minor issues with the house but nothing that bothered us enough to have handled while we were there. As soon as we left, I let Benchmark Management know and they jumped right on it. I saw some negative reviews about Benchmark Management and quite frankly, I was surprised. They were always very responsive. We already booked for next year.

Fantastic stay at Mellow Yellow!

We stayed at Mellow Yellow for our family spring break 2023. We normally stay oceanfront, but decided on something different for this trip and we were not disappointed. Mellow Yellow was very, very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen and so close to the beach (a 5 minute walk door-to-beach chair). It was great space for our family of 3, our teenagers loved having their own rooms, and could easily accomodate 3 couples. The family room and kitchen was big enough to host their friends for dinner, with a fantastic screened-in porch and outside area out back for grilling and eating dinner. The family room furniture was extremely comfortable, and could easily seat 6-8 people. It was an easy walk into Seaside (about 1 mile) and the paths were great for biking, running or walking. Benchmark was very easy to work with, loved the communications and when we needed something (a new propane tank for the grill) we received it that day. I will point out that starter supplies like hand soap, bath soap, shampoo and kitchen items are there, but you do need to bring additional depending on your length of stay. Additionally, the dishwasher at this house only does a traditional half-load at a time, so bring a lot of diswasher pods if you eat in a lot (which we did). We would definitely rent through Benchmark and this house again because of it's cleanliness, spaciousness, location in Seagrove, so near the beach, and other amenities.

Great stay at Mellow Yellow!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mellow Yellow, and we cannot recommend it highly enough!
First of all, the location is unbeatable - just minutes away from Watercolor, Seaside, and Rosemary Beach. When we weren't out enjoying 30A, we loved relaxing in the comfort and privacy of Mellow Yellow. It is a VERY short walk (less than 5 mins) to the beach even with chairs, coolers, etc.
The house itself was very clean and had all the amenities you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bedrooms all had very comfortable beds that ensured we got a great night's sleep every night. The bathrooms are very clean with plenty of towels.
It's clear that every detail has been carefully considered to make guests feel right at home. Although a starter kit(towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dish soap, detergents, etc) is provided I would recommend bringing along some extra dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and beach towels.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Mellow Yellow, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing trip to 30A. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

This was one of our favorite rentals we’ve ever had! It was a beautiful home. I loved how spacious it was, yet feeling like we were all together. The walk to and from the beach was very easy. Great location— and we really loved the screened in front porch. We would love to stay here again sometime. Highly recommend!

This was probably the best rental we have had in the 7 years of coming to Seagrove Beach. Bedrooms were very large and roomy for our two kids. We loved being able to bring our sweet dog (Aussie )He enjoyed the wood floors during the hot days.
The closets were very big which was unexpected. The kitchen and living area were perfect for needs. The best part was the outdoor porch. I think we spent more time there than any place in the house. Only one minor issue with the battery in the smoke detector needed replacing but Benchmark had someone there in about 15 mins of making the call. Great service!! The house was clean and furniture was up to date. Great neighborhood too, quiet with good neighbors. A quick 6 minute walk to the beach too. We will definitely stay here again!

My husband has already given a list of things we noticed that need addressing. I am only sending this as a way to help you with imput from guests. We enjoyed our stay and always rent through you. But you need to know the additional:
Floors were not cleaned in forever. We mopped them right before we left and put a finishing renewal on them.
The dishwasher is not securely installed. When I opened the door it tilts forward. It has not been attached at the top of the dish washer to the frame.
I think my husband covered everything else.

The house was located a block from the sand, with coffee and breakfast spots walking distance away. Not as busy or developed as neighboring towns, but we appreciated the slower, quieter pace. It was also nice to keep our distance during this time. The house itself was better than the pictures, we loved having the backyard space and outdoor shower, and the front screened in porch too. There is construction happening next door, but besides the eyesore and occasional noises, we didn't really mind it. For sure would stay here again, great location on 30A between all the little beachside towns.

Very Clean & Excellent Location

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It's extremely clean, tucked back on a quiet street with just a quick walk to the beach. The house has a screened-in front porch with very comfortable chairs that we enjoyed in the morning and evenings. We had our dogs and the fenced in yard was perfect to let them out and the private street was perfect to walk them. The only downside is that the house didn't have a Keurig, but there is a coffee shop a quick 3-minute walk away. We had a question upon arrival and the management company was responsive right away. There is construction next door, but the property was only being worked on one day during our stay so we didn't have any problems with noise. Lastly, the excellent location lets you explore all of 30-A very quickly and it's close to lots of wonderful restaurants. I'd highly recommend a stay here and we'll definitely be back.

Great Location and House

The house was great and the location was wonderful. Quick walk across the street to the beach. The house was decorated nicely. Mostly clean, however the floors desperately need cleaning, not just vacuuming. Within 30 minutes of being barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were covered in dirt and grime. At little gross thinking of all the people that have been through that house walking barefoot as well. The rental company would NOT allow you to check in early, even if the property had been cleaned and ready to go beforehand. It was nice that it had access to a pool but the pool was tiny and covered in shade most of the time. Other than those things, it was a great house and location.

Week of July 4th Experience

Mellow Yellow is very comfortable and well maintained. This is the fourth time we have stayed at Mellow Yellow for the week of July 4th. The cottage was neat, clean and comfortable. The only issue we had, which is very minor, there was not a cheese grater in the kitchen utensils. I had to go to two Public grocery stores to find one....again, this was no big issue. My family loves pimento cheese and a cheese grater in the unit would have been nice. Overall, we had a wonderful week at Mellow Yellow and hope to go back there again and again!!

We had a lovely time with 4 people and two little dogs. The puppies enjoyed the fenced-in yard. Every
thing was immaculate. Needs more towel rods in both bathrooms to hang towels and a bar in shower would be nice for elderly so as not to slip.

Comfortable stay with good ammenities

Overall, Mellow Yellow was a great rental house with an excellent location and amenities. The lot next door was being worked on by a landscape company in preparation for building so it created a lot of noise and dust during our stay which was unfortunate. The front bedroom was also much warmer than the rest of the house at night which made for a disruptive sleep.

Nicew little get away.

Stayed at Mellow Yellow over Christmas holiday. The house was cute and very clean. It was nice to have a large HD flat screen in the livingroom and one in the master. Of the other 2 bedrooms only one had an older TV which only got a few channels. The house is truly a short walk to the beach and the street is a quiet cul de sac. It was nice that we could bring our dog too. The microwave was missing the turntable when we got there, but a smaller replacement microwave was brought out the next day. Be prepared to shop for paper goods and toiletries. One small roll of paper goods per bathroom and no complimentary toiletries other than bars of soap. There were no laundry supplies. Overall, I would recommend this place. It was nicely decorated and convenient to the beach and Seaside.

We were concerned at first with the "outside" appearance of the porch - paint/torn screens but the inside was just as the pictures portrayed and had a wonderful time and loved the house. The only suggestion we would offer to the owners would be to update some of the cooking pots/skillets to "non-stick" I know that seems petty but we did cook breakfast most mornings and even with using butter everything still stuck to the pans! Thanks for an awesome visit!
