Spend Labor Day on the Gulf Coast

Most people love spending holidays at the beach. Labor Day is right around the corner and we expect lots of visitors to our beautiful Emerald Coast. Soft, white sand and blue-green waters will attract families from all over the world. When you aren’t relaxing at the beach soaking up the sun, there are plenty of fun events to take part in during Labor Day weekend.

In Seaside on Saturday, August 31st, visitors can celebrate the end of summer season listening to the Vegabonds. The concert series takes place at the Seaside Amphitheater at 7pm. Spend the day shopping at the Town Center, grab dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants nearby, and spread out a blanket and enjoy the show.

Don’t miss the fireworks on Sunday night across town at the Destin Harbor. HarborWalk Village will host the annual Labor Day celebration on Saturday and Sunday. There will be live music all weekend including performances from Bands Flash Flood and Flying High. Sunday night will close out with a grand fireworks display over the harbor.

Get some exercise in and join the 8th Annual Alys Beach 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run on Sunday. The course will wind around 30A with gorgeous scenery and end with some fun for everyone. There will be a bounce house, food, drinks, and live music at the Amphitheatre. This annual event benefits the Alys Foundation and Children in Crisis.

At 6pm on Sunday, there will be a special double feature at the Hub 30A. This popular spot features a “hub” of restaurants surrounding a big projection screen for movies and games. Order a tasty meal and grab a seat to enjoy Lilo & Stitch, Moana, or both!

On Sunday from 7-9pm, True Soul will be playing at Carillon Beach for the Groovin’ on the Green Concert Series. This is a free concert series at the Village Green. Bring chairs or blankets and enjoy live music under the stars. Town restaurants will be open for food and drinks.
