Packing Tips for Spring Break at the Beach

Your 30a spring break vacation is right around the corner. You can’t wait to bask in the sun on powder white sand. Are you packed and ready to go? If you’re like me, you wait till the last minute to pack and end up always forgetting something. Here’s a few packing tips to make your spring break on 30a a success! 

Outfits

When it comes to a beach vacation proper attire is key! Bring several pairs of shorts and t-shirts or tanks to match. It’s a good idea to bring a pair of jeans or slacks and a sweatshirt or light jacket in case the temperature drops a little in the evening. Most places on 30a are casual however, you may bring a dressier outfit or two for fine dining restaurants and a night on the town.  

Shoes

Flip flops and sandals are a must when visiting the beach so make sure to bring a couple of pairs. You may also want to bring sneakers for a run alongside the beach towns of 30a or hiking and biking through Florida state parks, forests and preserves. Don’t forget a pair of shoes to match your dressier outfits as well. 

Beach Attire 

You are visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, so chances are you will be at the beach everyday of your vacation. Pack two to three bathing suits so you will always have one dry and ready. Plus, wearing a different suit each day will cut down on awkward tan lines. Pack a big beach towel as well as a big rim hat or ball cap to tame beach hair and keep the sun off your face. Stylish sunglasses and cover-up will complete your beach attire.  

Toiletries

Where the sky is blue, and the sun is bright, sunscreen is a must! You will have sun kissed skin, so you can leave that full make-up bag at home. A full face of make-up will melt in the sun so keep it light and don’t forget chap stick and lip gloss. Moisturizer for after the beach is important since the sun tends to dry skin out. Remember that you will be sporting a swimsuit most of the time so don’t forget the razor and shaving cream. Shampoo and conditioner may need to be included in your packing list.
