Labor Day Happenings on 30A

Hot Fun on the beaches of 30A

Labor Day just may be your last shot to a summer getaway. This three day weekend at the beginning of September allows you one last summer fling before fall. What better place to spend your final days of summer than on the powder white sand beaches of 30A!

Check-in to your cozy 30a rental with amazing views of an emerald green ocean. You are steps away from a day at the beach and the little beach towns that are full of fun. Here’s some of our favorite Labor Day Happenings on 30A!

Friday, September 1st, celebrates art with incredible talent in three different locations. Gulf Place invites you to its First Friday Art Walk and live music from 4-7pm. Stroll Seaside’s Central Square on Friday and visit Seaside Merchants from 5-7pm. Participating merchants will host special in-store exhibits and events showcasing their art along with music, wine and food.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf celebrates the end of summer with a 3 day Art Walk beginning Friday, September 1st through Sunday, September 3rd. From 5-10pm the Village streets will be bursting with talent from a variety of local and regional artists. Live music will be on the events stage every night!

After a day of sun and sand visit the whimsical beach town of Seaside for a Labor Day weekend concert. Great Peakcock will perform in the Seaside outdoor Amphitheater on Saturday, September 2nd at 7pm. Bring your blankets and low back chairs for live entertainment under the stars.

The 6th Annual Alys Beach 5k and 1 mile Fun Run takes place on Sunday, September 3rd at 7am. Wind through the resort town and sprint through the finish line with an oversized obstacle course for kids of all ages waiting at the end. Enjoy the after party or head over to Seaside for a delicious Sunday brunch.

Great Southern Café is one of our favorites, serving brunch with southern charm. Sit down to a plate of Beignets, New Orleans style doughnuts buried in powdered sugar. Sip on a Bloody Mary, Mimosa or house made Sangria and toast to finishing the race! Later that evening you can visit Gulf Place for an outdoor concert from 5-9pm.

Nothing says summer like a weekend in South Walton. Say good bye to the season and have a happy Labor Day weekend on 30A!
