Seaside Offers Fun All Year

The charming town of Seaside is widely recognized as the home of The Truman Show and has a one-of-a-kind look. Along with being the perfect backdrop in the 30-A community for a bike ride or stroll on a sunny day, Seaside has year-round events for the whole family.

Every Saturday, there’s a Farmers Market in the Seaside Amphitheater. From 9am-1pm, local produce and crafts are available. Locally-grown food as well as specialty items, artisan cheeses and breads, and even seed exchanges can be enjoyed throughout the year.

In October, the hilarious Halloweener Derby Day welcomes our favorite weenie dogs for a race! This year, the race will be on October 24th. The derby is only for dachshunds but all breeds are welcome for a pet costume contest.

On Friday nights during the summer, outdoor movies can be enjoyed for Central Square Cinema. At 8:00pm each week, family-friendly movies are shown outside under the stars. Just bring a blanket or lawn chair and sit back and watch with the kids!

A summer concert series takes place on Wednesday nights with live music each week at the Amphitheater. Live music is also performed for holiday celebrations as well as fireworks displays.

The Seeing Red Wine Festival takes place each fall bringing wine enthusiasts and winemakers for a weekend of fun. World-class music is played throughout the event as guests enjoy four days of festivities. This year, the festival will be November 3rd-6th with 100% of proceeds benefitting the Destin Charity Wine Auction. Seaside and 30A rentals are available for overnight accommodations.

On days without events, Seaside still has plenty to do. Airstreams serve hot dogs, juice, and shaved ice while art galleries display unique local work. Read a book or buy new music at Sundog Books and Central Square Records. When you’re done shopping and dining, head over to the beach and enjoy the view!
