30A After Dark

Autumn season is here and it’s time to fall back with daylight savings. With shorter days and longer nights, what will we do when the sun goes down? Here are the top five spots to be on 30A after dark. 

On the west side of 30A sits a little town called Gulf Place. It’s a small, quaint horseshoe filled with shops, art and restaurants across from the Gulf of Mexico. On every third Thursday of the month from 5-7pm you’re invited to a Wine Walkabout. Purchase your wrist band for $15 from the artists at Gulf Place colony to receive your complimentary wine glass and let the tastings begin! 

Heading east on 30A we come to the whimsical town of Seaside. Shops and restaurants circle around an outdoor amphitheater with plenty of scheduled entertainment after dark. Holiday concerts and outdoor cinema featuring holiday movies are scheduled throughout the months of November and December. On Saturday, November 21st at 4pm, the Merchants of Seaside will host the 4th Annual Nutcracker ballet. This holiday classic is free and open to the public.

We’re not leaving Seaside yet! Across the street, right on the beach you’ll find Bud & Alley’s Restaurant. It’s a popular place with locals and guests to enjoy a drink, picturesque scenery and good conversation at the upstairs bar. The restaurant downstairs offers delicious food and waterfront dining at its finest. 

A few minutes down the road and we come to our favorite rooftop bar and restaurant, Whiskey Bravo. Sitting on highway 30A in Seagrove Beach, Whiskey Bravo is known for its rooftop bar with a scenic view of the Gulf of Mexico and a perfect place to watch the sunset. Add live music and happy hour specials from Wednesday to Friday to make this a “cool, casual, coastal” stop after dark! 

Last, but definitely not least, we meet the new kid on the block, 30Avenue.  Along Highway 98, which runs parallel to Highway 30A, stands a 16-acre commercial development.  Majestic palms welcome you to walk across hand-laid pavers into crisp white buildings for a shopping and dining experience that truly says 30A. Every Thursday through Saturday from 4-7pm, you can enjoy live music outdoors on the perfectly manicured green of 30Avenue.

When the days become short, just remember the night is young on 30A!
