Memorial Day Weekend in South Walton

Memorial Day weekend is the official kick-off for summer fun in South Walton. With longer days and warmer temperatures our beaches are the perfect place to take a vacation. A three day weekend of nothing but soaking in the sun, swimming in the ocean, and watching the sunset. Add outdoor concerts and fireworks to make it a real celebration!
The Village of Baytowne Wharf puts on a Memorial Day Celebration that lasts the whole weekend. The festivities begin on Saturday with live music from 7-9pm and go through Sunday with children’s activities from 6-9pm. Of course no Memorial Day celebration would be complete without a patriotic fireworks display.  
The whimsical town of Seaside invites you to come off the beach and onto the lawn for Jazz in the park! Saturday afternoon from 5-8pm you can meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances in the center of Seaside. Have a seat on the plush green grass, where everyone is just hanging out, enjoying the tunes, the scenery, and each other.
The vibrant little beach towns that surround Highway 30A offers sand, sun, and their very own Symphony Orchestra. Sinfonia Gulf Coast Goes Pops at Alys Beach on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend at 7:30pm. Take in a stirring performance under the palm trees with a spectacular fireworks show to follow.
Nothing sings summer like a concert with the Beach Boys!  We’ll have ‘Fun Fun Fun’ on Monday Memorial Day at the Gulf Place amphitheater with these legendary rockers! You’ll be feeling ‘Good Vibrations’ all afternoon with festivities starting at noon!
