First Note Music is Back with Double the Performances

First Note Music Hall opened two years ago in Blue Mountain Beach. Owner Tommy Jackson wanted to bring a distinctive live music experience to the area that was previous lacking. Fans of the music hall were disappointed to see it close but there is good news for both Miramar Beach and the 30A area. Jackson has joined up with Seascape Resort and Vue on 30A to revive the First Note experience. Starting this spring, there will be live entertainment every Friday and Saturday at Seascape. Vue on 30A will host live performances each Sunday in Santa Rosa Beach. As with the previous First Note appearances, guests will include up and coming artists and songwriters of a variety of genres. Jackson also plans to bring back many of the crowd favorites. Tickets for shows will be available at the venues as well as online.  

With longer days and warmer weather, it is the perfect time for beach bonfires. Grayton Beach Catering will host a bonfire every Thursday night on Grayton Beach. Each week, the event begins at 6pm with a shrimp boil, hot dogs, and s’mores. Since this is a catered event, spots must be reserved in advance. Accommodations can be made at local Seagrove rentals in the vicinity. 

The annual South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival will be presented at Grand Boulevard this year. The four day event will take place April 24th through 27th with over 800 wines to be featured. This has been regarded in Southern Living magazine as one of the most successful festivals in the Southeast. Along with a variety of choice wine, fine culinary treats and live entertainment will be enjoyed over the weekend. The festival benefits the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which has been named a Top 10 Wine Charity Auction by Wine Spectator magazine. Popular celebrity chef and author, Emeril Lagasse will make a guest appearance on Saturday. Also, top songwriters from Nashville will perform as part of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Endless Summer Songwriters Series.
