A Tasty Time in South Walton

The “Kentucky Derby of Wine Festivals” returns on April 16th through the 19th. The 29th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival has become a favorite tradition for locals and visitors alike! Pair it with breathtaking beaches and you’re in for a tasty time in South Walton!

The festivities begin on Thursday, April 16th with the official Sandestin Wine Festival Kick-Off Party at Rum Runners in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. At 5pm enjoy food tastings, wine samples and a presentation by winemaker Jessica Munnell from Mercer Wine Cellars. Friday, April 17th begins with a dockside reception at Baytowne Marina.

Then step aboard the Solaris for the 2nd Annual Champagne and Seafood Voyage! A four-course seafood menu is prepared and paired with premium champagnes. Friday evening from 5-8pm The Grand Wine Tasting will begin in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Live music from local and regional talent will be played as you peruse the wine booths with your souvenir glass held out for a taste. Hundreds of domestic and international wines will be poured during this long-running and most established wine festival in Northwest Florida! To begin the Grand Tasting on Saturday, Spa Sandestin is presenting a special Mind, Body and Beach morning at 7am. Enjoy a morning stretch and mimosa before an afternoon of wine.

Saturday VIP ticket holders have an exclusive midday event from 11am-1pm featuring a wine seminar, appetizers and a musical performance from Maggie Chapman. Saturday’s Grand Tasting begins at 1pm and will feature vineyard representatives from around the globe. Live entertainment can be heard as you enjoy a beautiful afternoon of wine tasting with good friends. On Sunday, April 19th the four day weekend comes to a close with The Sandestin Wine Festival Brunch on the Bay! Guests can choose from a wide variety of fresh, seasonal brunch items, live music and free flowing sangria, margaritas and mimosas will be served from 10am-2pm.
