South Walton’s Explosive Celebration ~ July 4th, 2012

The Beaches of South Walton are planning a 4th of July extravaganza.

From Santa Rosa Beach to Seaside, parades are being prepared and parties are in the making! The question is … which cozy little beach town will you celebrate with?

South Walton starts the celebration at 8am at Seagrove Plaza for the Annual Independence Day parade along highway 30A. You can follow the patriotic procession as they march their way to Seaside Amphitheater for an afternoon of family fun. Music and fireworks will make the celebration complete.

Rosemary Beach plans their party on wheels with the Annual Bike Decorating Breakfast & Bike Parade. Bring your bike to North Barrett Square at 7:30am and get creative while enjoying doughnuts and juice. Then introduce your red, white, and blue masterpiece to all on-lookers as you ride along in the Annual Bike Parade!

If you prefer to stay out of the limelight then there is plenty to do on the Western Green with a Family Field Day full of sack races, hula-hoop contests, face painting, and much more. Now that you have worked up an appetite you can head to the Eastern Green for an old-fashioned barbecue from 5-7pm. Return to the Western Green for an outdoor concert. There’s nothing like live music under the stars and fireworks lighting up the emerald green ocean.
