The Beaches of South Walton:
The Beaches of South Walton are located in Northwest Florida on the Florida Panhandle.  It is a world of natural beauty unlike any other - a special place that includes Seagrove Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Seacrest Beach, Rosemary Beach and Inlet Beach.  This section of beaches stretches along a road called Scenic 30A.  It is an area where nature's treasures still remain unspoiled.
The majority of land is dedicated to state parks and forests.  In addition to the fabulous beaches, there are miles of terrific biking and hiking trails, great golf courses nearby, and numerous opportunities for amusement, shopping and nightlife.

Sports and Recreation:
Golf:  For the golfing enthusiast within a 20 mile radius of Seagrove Beach there are 144 holes of the most enjoyable golf - on top rated, professionally designed, well manicured courses with gorgeous greens and fairways, driving ranges and fully stocked golf shops.  The beautiful new Fazio designed Camp Creek Golf Club which opened in May 2001 and The Santa Rosa Golf Club are only minutes away by car.
Fitness, Biking and Hiking:  For the fitness enthusiasts in the family, the area has a fabulous system of bike trails and sidewalks.  Along Scenic Highway 30-A there are over 12 miles of paved trail perfect for biking, hiking, jogging and rollerbladeing, and in the adjoining State Forests there are many more miles of trails.  Come enjoy and explore the beauty and surprises of Point Washington State Forest, Topsail Preserve, Grayton Beach State Park and Deer Lake State Park.  Fitness studios in Grayton Beach and Seaside offer state-of-the-art equipment and instruction, full service spas, and massage.
Fishing:  There are plenty of freshwater, and coastal lakes to please even the most serious fisherman and fly fisherman in the family.  Saltwater fishing opportunities abound in the Gulf of Mexico, and Choctawhatchee Bay. The Harbor at Destin is the berth of hundreds of fishing charters with daily and overnight trips in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tennis:  The area is a tennis lover's haven. Stay at one of our affordable accommodations Beachwood Villas or Beachside Villas and enjoy lighted tennis courts.
Water Sports:  Sailing, boating, skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, surfing and more!  Marina and water-craft rentals are available. You have access to the public boat ramp just 4 miles away in Grayton Beach

Entertainment and Historical Sites:
Seaside entertainment:  Wonderful cultural and social events are scheduled throughout the year. The events range from wine tastes, artist festivals, and a writers' conference to a mega garage sale.
During the summer months on selected evenings there are free family movies shown outside, and on weekends local bands play for the vacationers on the Seaside village green.  These are special - warm evenings by the sea relaxing on a blanket or chair, socializing with friends, and watching all the kids frolic while the band plays on.

Shopping and Dining:
Shopping is an art form with unique boutiques, antiques, and outdoor markets.  For quick stop groceries you must try a couple special places - Modica Market and the Seagrove Cafe Market. On the more serious dining side, you'll find some of Florida's finest restaurants ... from fresh seafood, Cajun, and Caribbean cuisine to down-home cooking.
