Paradise Pointe Duplex Reviews

This home is in a perfect location. We stayed in Duplex A which was only 5 steps from the beach. Great views from the living room and the dining room. The deck is perfect for watching the ocean at night. We will plan to stay in this home on our next vacation.

Its always a gamble when you rent something found on the internet, but we were SO thrilled. We are return renters, first stayed in the bottom unit, and twice in the top unit. Every morning I looked forward to breakfast with a view of ocean from the kitchen table or out on the deck, and watched for dolphins. Beautiful sunsets too. Great photos, blue/green water and clean white sand. You can rent chair/ umbrella set up daily just for you on the beach. The beach is so private... one morning my son said "Mom, there is someone on our beach". My daughters' friends all made it their 'Senior Trip' destination... the upper unit has an upstairs that sleeps MANY privately. We stayed downstairs and made ourselves available if they needed us. If you get off the beach, there are many quaint shops nearby, and variety of good food. Please, do not try skim-boarding!! Hubby did, broke his ankle, and spent much time at really nice Destin Hospital (required surgery). But what a place to recover, with a view of the beach!! And the beds are comfortable. The well equipped kitchen, saves time and money eating at home. Outdoor shower comes in handy, and so does the washer & dryer. Take flashlights to search for white crabs in the surf at night. But do release them... they die and stink in a bucket overnight. I miss it, I want to go back. My family made me go skiing this year spring break. Life is so hard.

Paradise house is a secluded gem. You are close to the mouth of a stream flowing into the ocean, but far enough away not to have the dirty water. You have open beach except for the few other houses near by. This beats Destin any day! Our unit was very nice and clean. If you have elderly I would choose the lower unit because of the stairs, but then you loose the top floor view, This is a wonderful place for Families and extended family vacations.

We have stayed in Paradise Pointe Duplex now for the past four or five years. It is perfect for our large family. My son rents the next door house, IN THE SAND, and having both houses allows the seventeen of us to have ample room and the walkway between the two houses is ideal. We even share the same steps to the beach. For any large family I would highly recommend renting both houses. If you have say eight or ten you could rent both upstairs and downstairs of Paradise Pointe (A and B). We have done that when all the family could not come. My family has been going to the Destin-Seagrove area now for almost fifty years. We have stayed in houses, condos and even cottages. We like Paradise Pointe and In The Sand better than any place we have ever stayed. The close access to great restaurants and grocery stores is terrific and you avoid the massive crowds at Destin. Beach service is available and the maids have the place in great shape when we get there. Super views from covered porch with outdoor furniture. We enjoy breakfast on the porches each morning. The people at Garrett have been super and we plan to keep coming as long as we can walk up the steps. I already have both housed booked for this summer. Norris Caldwell Tupelo Mississippi
