Garrett Realty ~ Seagrove Beach Vacation Rentals

Palms at Seagrove Reviews

Garrett Realty took great care of us, we loved being right on the beach, the rates at The Palms were reasonable and the condos there comfortably sleep 4 or 6 if you use the sleeper sofa. It's a pleasant bike ride on the sidewalk all the way to Seaside and Watercolor, or spend the day on the beautiful white sugar sands that South Walton is famous for - what could be a better way to spend Thanksgiving? Five stars, two thumbs up, and we'll see you next year!

We loved the Palms! The lower level was perfect for our stay with a toddler - we had easy access to the beach and the lawn out off the patio was great. We also used the public access beach right down from the Palms before and after check in so we could maximize our beach time. It was so convenient with the ramp and bathrooms. Unit A1 was great too. We loved the tile floor, the granite in the kitchen, and the decor. The only problem was that we could not find the TV remotes for the main TV or for the bedroom, but it could be that our daughter was playing hide-and-go-seek with them. You never know. The location of the Palms is great! We had fun riding bikes down to the Seaside and it was convenient to drive to Grayton Beach and Rosemary Beach, which were fun to check out. I told my husband on our first night at the Palms that we have found our family vacation spot for the next several years, and it's the lower level of the Palms in Seagrove.

This condo was perfect for our needs and was decorated so cute . We stayed 10 days (until the end of September) and we hated to leave when we did. We have been visiting Seagrove Beach for 25 years and love this area. I would suggest to the owners that they have Garrett fix the sliding glass screen. The tear in the screen allowed bugs to come through to the living room. Other than that, we had no complaints..wish it were ours. We will rent it again next year. Thanks

The weather was perfect, the beach was beautiful, and Palms A8 was great! Garrett Realty has always been fantastic to rent from. The location of the Palms is wonderful; we had a second floor beach front rental and the view couldn't have been better. It was just my husband and I, but I loved having the second bathroom and the washer and dryer; also liked the way the owner had louvered doors colsing off the bunk beds and the washer/dryer. The only thing we had a problem with in this unit was that it must have been recently retiled, and the extra tiles were stacked in several rooms at various places. Also, there was an extra mirror in the living room behind the end table-not sure why. Someone should probably come in and pack away the items not needed so they won't be in the way!! Otherwise, it was great! We will be back with Garrett and Seagrove next year & will recommend it to everyone we know!

I loved the beach at Seagrove! My daughter and I had a fun weekend in the sun and surf, enjoying the beautiful green water and white sand. The stay at Palms, C11, could not have been more perfect; great view, quiet, roomy, and absolutely spotless. This was the cleanest rental I have ever rented. We will return next year (and stay longer if we can).

Overall nice unit. Could use overhead lighting both in master bedroom and den/living area -- and some kitchen undermount lighting as well. Chip, the beach chairs/umbrella guy was fabulous -- we used his services for the week and his service was great. Would definitely recommend renting from Beach Chairs 4 U.

My wife and I stayed at the Palms A11 in late August. The condo lives up to expectations. There is a wonderful view of the gulf. The grounds of the complex are nice, secure, and well maintained. I did not mind using the charcoal grills in the common area as much as I expected. The interior of the condo was dated, but functional, clean, and adequate. The washer and dryer are small capacity, but handy to have. The sofa in the living room doubles as a sleeper. The master bedroom was fine. Convenience to the beach and to local attractions/restaurants/grocery is an asset. Our view of sunsets from the balcony was partially obscured, but wonderful. The realty company gets high marks for prompt attention paid to a clogged drain in the master bathroom sink. Overall, I thought this particular unit was a good value and I would stay here again.

We had a good time at the Palms. It is centrally located to everything on 30 A. We had a very long delay with our check in. They said they were short of help, we did not get our room until 6:30 p.m. 3 hours after we arrived in Seagrove. The wait was miserable. Garrett realty did not offer anything for our wait. It would have been nice for a coupon or something, but they offered nothing. This is not reflection on the accomidations. The condo was fine. We will not come again on a Saturday in peak season, we will arrive another day.

We enjoyed Palms c13 as a vacation home. Everything was convenient. We like the location, as we walk across street to have a pizza buffet for lunch. The best part was being able to see the beach from the window and balcony. The stairs are bad on old folks.

This is the perfect location for a family with children that desires easy access to the beach. The condominums are well equiped and that grassy area between the condos and the boardwalk are perfect for play. The only negative of the Palms at Seagrove is the pool, so if you are looking to spend time at the pool instead of at the beach-I would not recommend this property. The beach is our priority when we are there and you couldn't get easier access. Great access to beach rentals, seafood market and local resturants. We have stayed at the Palms for 4 years.

My 88 year old mother and myself spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Seagrove. We had stayed at the Palms before but our first time in C5. It was immaculate and so very comfortable. We loved the ground floor location right by the walkway to the deck and the steps leading down to the ocean. Mom enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching everyone enjoy the beach. The folks at the desk at Garrett Realty were exceptional. So kind and accomondating to everyone. We enjoyed our stay so very much and plan to return and stay again in my favorite condo, and specifically C5. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

All and all, everthing was great. We stayed at the Palms and everything was in order. The only thing I would complain about was the family upstairs. They had two small childeren that were always running up and down the hall. All we heard was thump thump thump! We talked to them and called Garrett but it never stopped. Plus they had a dog that would sometimes bark a lot. Not sure if they were suppose to have a dog, but they did. The other problem was the communication on our unit being ready. We were told at one point it wasn't cleaned yet, then another employee of Garrett told us it was done. The whole time we never saw anybody cleaning. We were staying next door with some friends who's condo was already ready. So we could see everything that was going on. The whole time we were waiting nobody was ever cleaning the unit. We even looked in the back patio door and we could tell it had been cleaned for a long time. Seems like the communication within Garrett Realty was lacking. We will be back next year and we cannot wait.

Loved the condo. Beautiful views. Clean condo. Realty service very friendly. Close to beach...counted 107 steps to sand. Came with beach chairs. Dishwasher did not work ,made dishes dirtier. No wifi for computer or iphone. 2nd floor condo, not loud from outside, but loud sounds from children on 3rd floor. Will definitely return......have recommended to many friends.

The condo had been recently redone... The fresh paint, color choices (especially in the bathrooms) were nice... However, the quality of the workmanship was lacking attention to detail. Examples would be in the master bath, none of the towel bars were secured properly (and one fell on my foot - which hurt!), the bedroom door wouldn't shut because the hinge screws were stripped out, the dryer was vented INTO the unit??? My husband is a licensed contractor so he fixed the towel bars and the rest just looks crappy. Might want to get a different maintenance person?? Anyway... About the noisy neighbor... The problem was that we were on the first floor with a family with heavy footed adults and energetic young children... Who seemed to always come home at midnight, romping and running through the condo, waking our family on several occasions. We probably should have complained but did not want to be jerks... Instead, we just fumed. We won't do that again... WE will say something. And we also would probably like a 3rd floor condo next time.

This unit at the Palms is decorated beautifully. It felt like you were staying at a much more expensive place. The service at check-in was wonderful. We arrived early and our unit was not ready however the office called on my cell as soon as it was. The view is awesome. The water was crystal clear for most of week. The pool and grill area were very clean and wellkept. The best thing was the view. The worst part was the unit lacked some kitchen and cleaning items such as oven cooking pans and a broom. This was brought to the attention of the Garrett Realty office so hopefully that will be corrected. We plan on returning next summer!

We stayed at Palms A10 for a week in July. The condo was clean and well kept, although the decor was probably still original from early 1980s. The view was perfect from the balcony - high enough (on the 2nd floor) for a nice view, and on the end of the building so you get a 2 sided view of the ocean. The Palms has a nice pool for young children (ours are 2, 4, and 7). We will be going back again next summer.

After the 4th day, I was able to make up to the third floor without feeling like I was in danger of having a coronary, haha! Really good exercise and the view from the balcony every morning while having my coffee was definitely worth it. The only downside with this condo was the refrigerator not being cold enough. I like my milk pretty cold and the freezer could not keep ice cream frozen. The Old Florida Fish House had the best fried shrimp, I've ever tasted. Seaside is a lovely place to hang out, day or night. I plan to make the The Palms at Seagrove my choice next year for summer vacation. That'll make year 4 :)

My husband and I enjoyed another wonderful week in Seagrove Beach. We "found" the area in 2001 and love it. For our large family visits we stay at Beachside Villas and love the property. On this trip, we stayed at the Palms of Seagrove and plan to return again and again. We have stayed in 3 different units at the Palms since 2007 and each is well maintained and very clean. The property is also very well maintained. We have used Garrett Realty for all but one of our trips to the area and have been absolutely pleased with the service we receive. The check in and out process is seamless. We love the location of the Palms and its close proximity to everything we need on our vacations. The units have everything you need.

The condo was beautifully decorated and the kitchen had everything I needed. It was also very clean. The only thing that stands out negatively was the mattress in the master bedroom was horrible. It was hard as a rock. My husband and I had so many aches and pains after the week was over. Also wish there had been better furniture on the deck. Such as a table and four chairs so we could enjoy the porch more. It was beautiful, but probably wouldn't stay at this particular condo again because of the lack of sleep from the mattress.

We have been staying at The Palms off and on since the early 90's. We love the Seagrove area and The Palms, however this particular unit needs to be updated. The decor is not exactly what is shown in the photos and is very dated (I think some of the furniture is the same as when we first visited back in 1990, also no ladder for the bunks?!). The floor has been recently tiled, which is nice and the unit is clean but after seeing some of the other units we were really disappointed especially after being bumped to this unit after making a reservation for a much nicer condo. No worries, we will be back to the Palms but not to A10 unless it is spuced up a bit.

These units were always very clean, quiet and family oriented. The last visit we chose The Palms to be on the beach. We had a great view, a clean well decorated unit. It was just steps to the convenient stairs down to the beautiful sand beach. Our unit had washer/dryer/dishwasher/ice machine. The bed was comfortable and our 13 yr. old was fine on the bunk beds in the hall and the pull out sofa bed. We rode our bikes to Angelina's(restaurant) and to neighboring Seaside. We have always enjoyed the beautiful beaches, comfortable atmosphere and many activities offered in the surronding area.Garrett has always been accomodating, we have never had any problems in the past. We stayed for a week and enjoyed our condo. There were a few minor but definite inconveniences that should be addressed in this unit. The top refrigerator shelf was broken/not in its place and the call to maintenance produced Nothing. The sliding glass door to the balcony is Very Hard to open and close. The Recliners are not very comfortable and the king size bed in the master bedroom is Hard as a rock - we went to Wal-mart and bought 2 pads to put on top of it. Otherwise, the condo has a great view of the beach and the water. We were willing to put up with these minor inconveniences. However, if Garrett lives up to its goal of really trying to please their guests, these inconveniences (at least the frig and the door) would be addressed.

My sister and I stayed at Palms C5 for a great sisters getaway weekend. The unit was nicely appointed and very convenient. We just stepped out of the sliding glass doors to the boardwalk down to the beach. A lmanicured grass yard made the view from the living room to the beach a lovely view. The furniture was attractive and very comfortable. We would only recommend a couple of things.... that lighting in the kitchen be made a little stronger, and, that the service provide some basic condiments like salt/pepper and paper goods (paper towels) with the unit.

Palms A2 was very nice. The floor plan was good in that one bathroom was very close to the kitchen and another was right off the bedroom. Having "bunk beds" in the hallway is a novel idea -perfect for families with small children. Our only problem was that when we arrived late evening the day of our arrival, there was no hot water. We had gone out to eat and did not realize it until 10:30 p.m. When we called maintenance, they said it was not an emergency and would be handled first thing in the morning. They suggested we check the circuit breaker panel (which was actually behind the bedroom door, not the usual place one would look). We did and the circuit breaker for the hot water heater was not turned off. However, my husband flipped it a couple of times and the hot water heater started up. The breaker did make a kinda "frying" noise when we did that. Maintenance came out the next morning and checked the breaker and said it seemed okay. He did comment that the records showed housekeeping had reported no hot water the day before when they readied the place for rental by us. Under those circumstances, I would have expected management to make sure the hot water heater was working properly before our arrival. Other than that one frustrating experience, we liked the Palms A2 accommodation and would probably rent in the Palms condos again, but on the third floor. We did hear a lot of noise from the family above us. They had small children who kept running up and down the hall and opening and closing the sliding glass door to the balcony until late at night. One more suggestion: I think it would be very nice if the development would furnish at least one roll of paper towels and a small container of dish washing liquid to start off one's visit with.

Excellent space in a fabulous location! My husband, 9 month old son and I stayed in C11 for a week at the beginning of May and had plenty of room. The second bathroom was wonderfully handy. That being said, the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into decorating the space. I especially liked the "If you're lucky enough to be at the beach, then you're lucky enough" sign over the kitchen sink. It was a relief not to have to move around too many objets d'arts from our crawler's grabbing hands, though it would be a good idea to get an actual latch for the pantry door. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely love Seagrove Beach and this condo is very conveniently located, especially since we enjoy biking around as much as possible. The master bedroom is nice. It has a king bed, TV, good drawer space, and a private bath. Our only feedback is that a couple of rugs would have been nice in the condo (it is entirely tile floor) and we may try to find a condo with wireless internet next time (we should probably let that go while at the beach...but we enjoy playing on the laptop and sending pics to family). It has a small view of the ocean even though it is located in a rear building. The unit was very clean and comfortable and was perfect for a family with two small kids. The decor is your typical rattan beach theme, dated perhaps but well kept. The hall bunkbeds were a favorite with my children. They loved the fish murals on the walls and the stuffed fish on the beds.
