We have stayed in Ramsgate #4 twice (summer 2006 and summer 2008). The townhome is simple, but completely adequate for a beachfront rental. The location is fantastic. You literally wallk down the stairs and you are on the beach. We love being so close to the water and mornings of dolphin watching from the balcony! Crabbing at night is especially fun, so don't forget to bring your flashlight and nets! The lake inlet just down the beach is also fun for the kiddos. Having access to the pools at Summer's Edge is a big plus when the jellyfish are bad or the surf is too rough. Overall, a great rental for the price. The furnishings could use some updating, but the unit is clean and the location is perfect!!!

Ramsgate is a great location on the Beach. The views are wonderful and you can't get much closer to the water. The one thing I am disappointed in is that I like to spend most of my time outdoors, whether it is on the beach or on the deck for meals and just sitting and relaxing. Two things I have had a problem with for years is that they have not provided a nice umbrella for shade on the deck. I like to eat most of our meals outdoors and this makes it somewhat uncomfortable. Also, everytime I come I have to buy a grill because the rental does not have one. The first year we stayed at Ramsgate, we had a nice eating area with shade. This is one of the things I expect when I rent a house on the beach in Florida. Thanks for asking, Rosemary Forbes
