Garrett Realty ~ Seagrove Beach Vacation Rentals

Beachcrest Reviews

We stayed at Beachcrest 1101 from July 18 to 25, 2010. The Condo was fantastic. Everything you would need was right there. The decorations were perfect and made us feel right at home. The beds were very comfortable as was the sofa and recliner chair. The Gulf view from 1101 is spectacular, and we spent lot's of time on the balcony in the mornings and evenings. Garrett has an office in the building and the staff was very pleasant. Cudo's to the owners for sharing such a beautiful and comfortable vacation home away from home. We would certainly stay here again.

Nicely decorated. Master bath needs some work and the balcony furniture needs repair/replacing. Stayed 2 weeks and was not ready to leave. We have stayed at Beachcrest many times and will stay again.

This is a great unit. It is very bright and cheerful. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots and pans and utensils you will need. We would definitely rent this unit again. Great view and we liked being farthest from the elevator. We have stayed at several Beachcrest units and this one is a keeper as well.

Our time at the condo was such a blessing. We spent 3 nights enjoying beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches, tasty seafood (and Angelina's Italian), and time together. No complaints at all with the unit or building! It is so close to the beach (short walk down a small boardwalk), across the street from a few little restaurants, less than a mile from the grocery store, and we never had to wait on the elevator. I loved having beach chairs everyday and miss sleeping with the door to the porch "slightly open" to hear the ocean - all night! If you go, be sure to take your own toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, paper towels/napkins, salt/pepper, coffee filters, kleenex, laundry detergent, and trash bags. You have enough to make it through a day or two, but no more than that. As for the area, be sure to try a cinnamon roll from Modica Market in Seaside, The Red Bar for dinner in Grayton Beach, and pizza or pasta from Angelina's (right across the street!). Also, Bayou Bill's on Highway 98 between Seacrest and Destin (in Santa Rosa) is the best seafood restaurant! Snow crabs are divine!!! Enjoy the gorgeous Gulf Coast; praise be to God for the beauty!

we had a very nice time at Seagrove Beach. It is in a great location and we rented bikes to ride the path to many places. Seaside Beach is easily accessible and we rode to Watercolor and Grayton as well. Beachcrest 804 was very nice. We turned in a maintenance slip at the end of our stay about the slow draining small bathroom tub and the slow draining sink the larger bathroom. The staff at Beachcrest were very nice. The pool area wall was being redone which wasn't a problem, we just didn't like the small pool area very much. There were beach umbrellas and chairs set up every day which is where we spent most of our time when we weren't riding the bikes from Big Fish rental. Lots of good places to eat, we had pretty good weather. we would like to return to the area but may try staying somewhere else honestly, we're not sure. on the other hand, would consider staying at Beachcrest again! have fun

The condo building was clean and well kept. The pool and pool deck well kept and good pool temp for chilly April nights. Our condo was 1st class and awesome. The size was a little smaller than other condos we have rented in past years but the view and decor made up for that quickly. Would like to see the homeowners get some Teflon skillets. We had 4 other families in that building and not one kitchen had nonstick cookwear. My bacon even stuck to the skillet!! We had a great 1st time visit to Sea Grove, your facility and also 1st time Spring Breakers!! Thx!

Information for unit was not easily found. Master bathroom shower did not fit the room size. Difficult to enter. Bed in master bedroom extremely uncomfortable. Office staff very accommodating, as always. Beach service, Greg and has staff, always make us feel welcome and comfortable-this is one of the main reasons we continue to come to Beachcrest.

The condo was very quiet, had a great view of the beach, it was cleaned very well by the staff, and had ample towels. All amenities were very nice. We could not check in at 3:00. There was some hold-up with the maids. That was the only negative. The office person seemed a bit put out when we came to pay early (as suggested by the lady in the Garrett office across the street). This left us to wonder is it OK or not? We have stayed in other Garrett rentals where the AC unit was on the porch, and in the summer made it impossible to enjoy the porch. The Beachcrest unit had no AC on the porch. AS it turned out, the weather was so beautiful, we slept with the sliders open each night for a very restful sleep. The pillows were a bit bulky, but other than that everything was very nice.

We had a wonderful vacation to Beachcrest Condo 601 in Seagrove Beach. The Garrett staff were very friendly and onsite which was great for checkin. The room, although a little dated in decor, was very clean & worked well for our group of 5. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals in. It would have been nice to have a grill that wasn't 6 floors down, but I understand why the units are not allowed to have them. The view was amazing and the beach is one of the best in the U.S. Having the daily umbrella & chairs was an extra bonus. We were also able to walk to several restaurants and to Seaside. We are already looking forward to our next vacation in the area.

We just returned from a 4-night stay at this condo and loved it. It was easily accessible to the pool, beach, and playground. There were a few things that needed changing, though. There is no ceiling light fixture in the guest bedroom. The only light was a lamp on the chest on the far side of the room beside one of the twin beds (and I believe it only had a 60-watt bulb in it!) Also, the couch looked alittle worn and some of the pictures needed updating. Some plastic storage containers in the kitchen for refrigerated foods would also have been nice. These were only minor things, though, and had no bearing on the great time we had. I plan to return again next year. It was also very quiet and peaceful at this complex.

The service was great. The condo was perfect. We have been coming to Seagrove Beach for 14 years but we found BeachCrest to be the best of all the places we've rented. Spur of the moment decision on a Wed night for a stay starting Thur thru Sun. The accomondations were very well decorated and maintained. Garrett Realty was and has always been very accomondating. There was one problem that has been identified numerous times before but still is open. If one wants to read at night they'll have to read at the dinner table. The floor lamp provided was for decorations only (it was pretty), but useless. BUY another one for the tenants, totally unacceptable. Otherwise, totally enjoyed the stay. Ray Ingram

Beachcrest 803 was just the perfect condo for us. It was tastefully furnished and very clean. It is very modern in decor. The master bath was a bit cramped but other than that it's a very good place to stay. The views of the gulf are spectacular and listening to the waves break on the beach from inside is very soothing especially at night. There are a lot of rules and warnings that come with renting one of these condos. It seems a bit overdone in that area. But those rules apply to any condo you rent in the building.

My husband and I have been "snowbirds" and coming to Seagrove Beach for 14 years. However, this is our first stay at BeachCrest, unit 702. We love it here!!! The unit was clean when we arrived. We appreciate all the new things; new dining room furniture, new carpet in the two bedrooms, new appliances in the very well equiped kitchen. The one large bathrooom with double sinks and garden tub and lots of storeage suits us just fine. But we especially appreciate the new pillow topped matress and new bedding in the master bedroom. We also love the built-in bar and two pantries for storage. It's the first time that we've had plenty of space for all our food and "stuff" we bring with us when we stay for three months. Last but not least, the view of the Gulf of Mexico is just great! Also, because we are protected from the wind on the deck, we can sun on the deck even when the temperature is in the 50's. Who can beat that?

We have always stayed at One Seagrove Place and decided to stay at Beachcrest for a change. We were very pleased. We liked alot of things better, such as: the layout of the rooms, the grilling area, the pool, the beach access, elevator speed and convenience, the other guests, the smaller amount of units, and the overall feel of the establishment. I don't know if I would choose 605 again because it had several issues that probably need to be checked. The refirgerator light did not work, the remote controls to the bedroom televisions did not work, the dish washer did not want to close, and the the pillows and bedding seemed to be lacking. We definately plan to stay at Beachcrest again and did have a wonderful time. Thnak you for making it such a welcoming place.

We always enjoy our time in the condos of Beachcrest. We espeically enjoy that the beach is not overcrowded, the grounds are surrounded by space that is nice to view (no highrises nearby) and we feel safe. The balcony is also a plus. Manageement is always available. This time we had a few issues with the condo, which I listed for the manager upon our departure. Guest bath tub dripped, sofas appeared dirty, door to balcony would not lock, mold/mildew on wall in second bathroom. These are not items that would prevent our staying at Beachcrest again, but the owner should know about them.

This unit was very spacious and bright. The location is perfect if you don't want to ride an elevator - it is on the second floor, with easy access to steps down to parking lot (one floor) Quiet on the end, with very pretty views. The furniture was comfortable - My suggestion would be for some minor improvements - new coffee maker (old, stained, bad taste), master shower curtain replace - moldy, and the outside screens for both patio doors need to be replaced, rusted, holes in screen and between the top and building - allowed bugs inside and would not easily open or close. The pool was nice, and the access to the beach excellent -- close to Seaside too. We will visit again.

The table on the patio would work much better if it was pedestal, the 4 legs kept getting bumped and drinks sloshed! But - it was nicely decorated and we had NO maintenance problems, what a relief. All in all, a great vacation!

We enjoyed all aspects of Beachcrest except the Internet connection. We specifically requested and needed Internet connection. The service Beachcrest used was unrealiable. The fact that the beach is next to a small strip of public beach that is barely used made it nice to set up our own chairs and just enjoy the sand and sun. The cookware in the kitchen was somewhat difficult to work with in regards to not having non-stick surfaces. But hardly a big enough issue to be a strike against the place. We would definitely like to rent out this condo again in the future for a peaceful romantic getaway.

We have stayed at Beachcrest for five summers. Unit 1106 is lovely but we will not stay in it again. First, the beds were terrible. The twin beds in the guest room were as hard as rocks. My daughter had to go buy an inflatable mattress to sleep on. The sleeper sofa mattress appeared to be very old and very thin. The head rest part was either hanging down or sitting straight up. My son could not sleep on it; he had to sleep on the sofa for the week. The mattress in the master room was too soft and very noisy. Everytime we moved it sounded like plastic crinkling. The DVD players did not have the cords to connect to the TV so they were unusable. The kitchen was minimally furnished. There were no plastic cups and only a half gallon pitcher. The skillets were too small. There was only one spatula. It did have some nice knives. I will say that the furnishings are lovely in the unit. We thought the tile floors were great. The overall facilities were as lovely and well kept as always. We love Beachcrest and we will stay at Beachcrest again. We meet the nicest families and everyone is always so well behaved. Garrett does a wonderful service with Beachcrest.

The one in the LR was great - but the bedrooms need area rugs so that you have a place to "wipe" your feet off before getting into bed! Sand on the sheets is a very unpleasant feeling. Also - the air in the BR did not work properly - very warm compared to the rest of the unit. We would love to stay in this unit again - but would hope some suggested improvements would be made:-}

Our family has chosen to stay with BeachCrest twice a year for the past three years now. We have never been disappointed with our service from Garett Realty, and the rooms we have stayed in have been wonderful. BeachCrest itself is a very family-oriented and kid-friendly place to stay. We have three children, two are very young, and we have never had issues that prevented us from having a wonderful time at any point of our stay! 304 is decorated nicely and has a great view. One might get the feeling you are at home because it is just so comfortable at this place--especially the plush suede couch! You aren't so high up that it takes a while on the elevator, and you are close enough to the ground that if you needed to call to your teen or other family in the pool, you don't have to shout and disturb everyone else! You are just at the right level to have an unobstructed view of the gulf, too! As far as location, BeachCrest itself is the best place to stay because you are close to anything you might need: Publix is just a couple of right turns down the road, fresh seafood and a couple eateries within walking distance, and you are a bike ride or a short car drive down from Seaside where ther is so much to see and do. If I could change anything about the room 304 in particular, it would be to add carpet in the living room and tile only the bathrooms and kitchen. Also, if you like to cook when staying, 304 could use some more dishes and larger pots. I had to cook my crab in two batches because the largest pot was not big enough! Other than those terribly minor and "nit-picky" suggestions, I HIGHLY recommend 304!

Our 5th vacation at Seagrove Beach with Garrett Realty. Beachcrest 202 is clean and comfortable with updated decor and appliances. We'll definitely be back!!!

Once again, we had a wonderful time at Seagrove Beach! We have been coming down here for 8 years and 5 of the 8 we have stayed at Beachcrest. We have been pleased every time. We love the location, the pool, the beach and it's always been clean and family oriented. Thanks a bunch!

Our family has returned to Beachcrest some 18 times over the years. When we stay elsewhere, we are always disappointed. The pool is great and the included beach service is a huge draw for us. Now with Publix nearby, we can get groceries easily. Our room is always ready and clean. The elevators have been updated and there was no waiting. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Our condo could use a little updating--popcorn ceilings, fans that were not hardwired, and a sofa bed that was so uncomfortable our daughter chose to sleep on the sofa rather than pull it out--but overall, our stay was as lovely as the weather. P.S. What's with the seaweed? Over the years, we've noticed a rise--not in clumps of seaweed, but in fine, thin rows of it that can be uninviting for swimmers.

We loved our condo experience. The condo itself is clean, with updated decor. We will be coming back for years to come!!!

this place was ideal for our family. we have two children (4, 2) and it was perfect in that it was just a short walk downstairs to the beach and the pool. It was super easy to pop back upstairs for a diaper change/water bottle run. It was also quiet at night, which was great. Lots of nice families and other kids for our four year old to play with. The only bad thing was that we couldn't get the DVD players to work. I'm sure we were just doing something wrong, but couldn't find manuals, etc. so we never figured it out.

I think that you should offer more than 1 roll of toilet paper for a 6 day stay. Otherwise it was fine for the money spent

My family and I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental. The staff at Garrett was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the property's close proximity to the beach as well as the availabilty of chairs at the pool. We will likely stay in this unit again during future vacations.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Beachcrest unit. We go every year with all of our extended family and usually stay in a much larger condo on the second and third floor so we were concerned with being in a smaller unit and being on the 12th floor of a larger complex. We found the condo very spacious and well-equipped. It was perfect for a weekend away as a couple. Even though the complex was bigger, we did not feel crowded on the beach or at the pool. The pool is a bit small, but there were never many families there at a time. We also found we did not have to wait for the elevator like we had anticipated which was nice. We were across the street from a wonderful pizza place, Bruno's and within walking distance to Seaside. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to you. You will love waking up with the waves.

Great complex with a nice view. Condos are a bit on the small side and the bathrooms are TINY! Very family friendly and my kids made a lot of new friends while there. The pool is small and there is no hot tub. Convenient to dining but we took our own groceries and cooked in several nights. Be sure to check out Goatfeathers Seafood Market for fresh seafood to grill out. Condo was clean and quiet (even on Memorial Day weekend) and we enjoyed the family atmosphere.

Nice, clean condo on the beach in Seagrove, Florida with most everything you need to insure a pleasant stay on the beach. Conveniently located near the Seaside community, grocery store and seafood market! The only downside was the wireless internet that would require reconnection constantly as it would kick you off but it is hard to complain since you are on the beautiful beaches of South Walton!! This is a quiet family complex that I would recommend to anyone for a wonderful beach vacation at a good value.

I enjoyed my stay at Beach Crest, and would reccomend it to others, as a vacation get away. It was clean, and comfortable, quiet, and the view is terrific. The management there was helpful and efficient regarding a few small matters, and all in all it was a great stay.

Unit was pleasingly decorated. The kitchen could use an over the sink light because it was pretty dark and the kitchen was only sparsely equipped. The plugs in the baths were worn and it was hard to keep anything plugged in because they were so loose. The master bedroom bedspread needs to be repaced due to wear.

Condo was very comfortable and tastefully decorated with enough comfy couches and chairs for the 3 people in our family to relax. Books, magazines and games were available. The view of the ocean from the condo was awesome. We were just above the pool which I was concerned about initially, (noise) but it wasn't a problem. Was actually kind of fun watching the people at the pool. The pool closes at 10:00. It was great to have a queen and king bed instead of twin beds. My only complaint was that the bathrooms were small, but how much time do you spend in the bathroom. Overall, it was a great condo and a good value for the money.

My family enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing week in Seagrove at the Beachcrest. The office staff were helful and pleasant and the grounds were very well kept. We stayed in 405 and the furnishings were great. The recently redone kitchen was completely equipped with all the gadgets anyone could need. The design of the furniture, kitchen, and bedrooms were fabulous. It really felt like home. My children shared the guest room and my husband and I relaxed in the master. The newly remodled bath and the flat screen TV were just added perks! I would highly recommend this building and especailly #405 to all of my friends. We are already looking forward to next year and coming back to 405 again! Thanks for making it such a wondrful and relaxing vacation!

The staff was friendly, and the unit was decorated nice. My family of 4 was very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped well, so we saved a lot of money by cooking in. It was convenient to the pool which thrilled my children, and the heated pool was very nice. We found the complex to be very quiet and family oriented. The condo was small, but everything worked and we had no problems at all. [Contrast this with our stay in a $4000 house during Thanksgiving in North Carolina. Even though it was new, the carpet was filthy, some of the appliances didn't work, the refrigerator broke (a disaster for Thanksgiving cooking) and none of the dvd players worked. A good portion of our time was spent waiting on repairs. My point being this, sometimes better things come in small packagaes!] !!!!!!!!! We would definitely stay here again because it was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 young children!

The home was quite nice, very comfortable, etc. Lovely location, setting, amenities. Clean, family-friendly beach, quaint surrounding communities. Overall a very enjoyable stay. My only disappointment(s) was in the supplies left in the condo. Would have been really nice to know prior to leaving home exactly what we would need (as in a detailed list) would've been nice to have at least one coffee filter, a few paper towels, maybe a tissue or even a few spices ( salt & pepper ) Otherwise, a nice property with a wonderful view, great beach and pool.

This is a very relaxing area. Our family has stayed in this area for the past 7 years, and this was our second time in this property. The sounds of the ocean and the views are amazing and the heated pool was welcome on the cooler days. Furnishings and linens were plentiful plus the washer/dryer certainly came in handy. If you have small children the elevator might be a small problem (some might prefer to be able to walk directly onto the beach), but the security of the pool is excellent. A code must be used before the exterior door will open to the pool/beach area. No problems that I can think of....we will be back!

Very quiet and relaxing. There are unique shops and a variety of reasonably priced restaurants close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Rooms are always clean. Washer and dryer in suit save having to bring so many clothes. An elevator is always availabe for those who can't climb steps. An adequate supply of linens is always available for the asking. Don't forget to bring trash bags, laundry supplies, toilet tissue, Kleenex, etc. This will be our third year at Beachcreast and we plan to be there in two weeks. Can't wait!

Looking for a much needed break from the work routine, this room offered that and more. The balcony stretched across the entire condo which made a wonderful place to sit and sip a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. We were minutes from the beach with our own entrance with beach chairs and umbrellas waiting for us every day. The kitchen was well equipped and the entire unit so nicely furnished - I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway. Garrett Realty has always provided us with wonderful rentals and over the years have stayed at several of their properties. This is among my most favorite, for sure!

We've been vacationing in Seagrove Beach for 15 years and have spent many spring breaks at the Beachcrest condos. We chose #1204 because it had recently been updated. It was beautiful with a nicer kitchen than we have at home. Also having a larger dining table is great. We only had 4 people but the extra space is great for games, puzzles and large meals. Having a pool for the kids is always a plus at a beachside vacation. It was a real lifesaver this week when the red flag was out on the beach every day. We had the opportunity to play in the sand and still get to play in the water. We used the gas grills this year for the first time. I wish I'd tried them sooner. Grilling the fish we bought from Goatfeathers kept the smoke and smell out of the condo. Note that the 2nd bedroom has a VCR and the master bedroom has a DVD. We wish we'd bought video tapes for the kids to watch at night. Having a newer washer and dryer was great as there always seems to be a lot of laundry when at the beach. Be sure to bring laundry detergent and dryer sheets to have sand free sheets and towels during your stay. We would highly recommend #1204.

We spent 5 wonderful days in this well appointed, beatifully designed condo and will definitely return again this fall! It had all the comforts of home, with the added luxery of new fixtures, furniture and relaxing atmosphere. The view is stunning and we slept to the sound of the gentle surf. We spent evenings at home because the it was so inviting! I highly recommend this condo to anyone with a family. The beds were all so comfortable and there is plenty of room to lounge around in the living room, eat a nice dinner together at the table, and cook in the beautiful kitchen. The view is so spectacular and you can see the pool, too. Even though it was a crowded week at the facility, we didn't have any noise problems and it maintained a family atmosphere.
